Welcome to
The People Thread!
I'm Charlotte, the founder of The People Thread, and bring over 20 years of People experience, including:
-
Leadership roles in tech consultancy and SaaS companies
-
Startup to enterprise experience. I've worked across the full growth journey
-
Cross-sector expertise spanning private, not-for-profit, and public organisations
-
Proven diagnostic and delivery capability. I identify what's not working and implement solutions that stick
This breadth of experience means I've seen what works (and what doesn't) in very different contexts, and can adapt the right approach for where your business is right now.
The People Thread story
I launched The People Thread to support more businesses in their journey to build People functions and strategies that scale with speed and confidence.

With over 20 years experience working in the People profession, my strength is in creating the People foundations that let growing companies thrive.
I've got the FCIPD credentials but also, importantly, the scars from leading People functions through acquisitions, investments, and all the messy, exciting growth that comes with scaling a business. I've built the infrastructure, culture, and strategy that not only makes sustainable growth possible but creates workplaces where people genuinely want to stay and can grow because of how it's scaling.
I work with founders and leadership teams who believe that great workplaces don't happen by accident and are designed intentionally. My approach weaves together culture, strategy, and process to create a coherent and consistent employee experience that enables growth. I have honest conversations, deliver what I say I will and focus on finding solutions that work for both the business and its people, without the bureaucracy that fast growing businesses dread.
The best founders know that scaling doesn’t need to mean losing what made your early team special. If you want to protect that while building for growth, let's have a chat.
